Keeping the Artic Wildlife Refuge, Wild

With the Republican party gaining more control of Congress and the Bush administration needing answers to the coming energy crisis, the Artic Wildlife Refuge will once again be considered for Oil and Gas exploration. We have previously discussed the importance of protecting the refuge on the basis of ideology, negligible gains versus costs and protection of the environment. So, with a new congress poised to take over and the refuge once again coming up for legislative action, it is time for us to remind politicians that most Americans do not want to open up the Artic Refuge. If you would like to help, sign this petition directed to Senator Harry Reid, the Senate Minority Leader, to keep the Refuge protected. Pass this information on to other people you know, each voice does count, and many voices cannot be ignored.
